It’s Finally Here!

Ok. I am SO excited. The movie I’ve been waiting about 3 years to see is finally out on DVD and I just ordered it on Amazon! It’s this amazing story about these normal, everyday people like you and me who set out on this amazing quest. You know the kind. The type of story where someone decides to set a goal to do something crazy and no one really thinks it’s possible and no one really believes it will happen, but the hero decides not to listen. The hero decides to soldier on and not give up and you don’t know at the end exactly what will happen. The quest isn’t over and the hero hasn’t won yet, but you know that he already has even if the end goal hasn’t been met.

So what is this movie? No, it’s not Star Wars and it’s not Lorenzo’s Oil, it’s the 10 Mountains 10 Years documentary. Ok, I’m probably officially a total geek or something, but I’ve been watching for this movie seriously for 3 years. This movie is the story of Enzo Simone and his journey to cure Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease. It’s about his epic journey to climb 10 mountains, literally, in 10 Years. And it’s about this amazing group of people who decide to join him. I mean really, who decides to join people that are literally climbing incredibly big mountains especially if you weren’t a world class mountain climber to start.

I met Enzo through Team Fox and have been following his story and his climbs ever since. It’s doggone inspiring. When I first met him I didn’t truly understand his drive to climb mountains in the quest to help fund and find a cure, but after deciding to run marathons I now understand completely. Marathon running is my mountain to climb.

I haven’t seen the movie yet since it hasn’t arrived, but I can’t wait. Here’s the trailer to the movie.

If you’re interesting in getting the movie for yourself here’s the link to it on Amazon- 10 Mountains 10 Years

Once I get to watch it I’ll make sure to post my review.
